Background
A Pacific Northwest native, Chris has lived in the Puget Sound area for most of her life. Prior to becoming an attorney, Chris has worked as a critical care nurse in various parts of the U.S., including Oregon and Alaska, for 22 years. She graduated
Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science and health Care Management from St Joseph's College in 2001. After a successful career in medicine, she elected to attend law school of law where graduated with honors in 2004 from the Gonzaga School of Law.
After passing the Washington State Bar exam she began her legal career with the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office practicing in both the District and Superior Courts. In 2007, Chris began her career as a criminal defense attorney after joining a local firm and then starting her solo practice in September of 2008.
Currently, Chris is a partner at Baker Lewis Schwisow & Laws and has been practicing for more than seven years. She has been selected by the Washington State Office of Public Defense to represent parents whose children are involved with Child Protective Services in dependency matters. She also handles a wide variety of criminal matters ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
Chris has also successfully represented plaintiffs in civil matters including wrongful death claims, sexual harassment and personal injury matters. Her strong background in medicine has shown to be a great asset in her representation of clients who suffered serious medical and emotional injuries.
Chris has consistently demonstrated that she has the compassion and drive to fight for her clients and achieve the goals they reach for. She is an outstanding advocate and will provide a zealous argument each of her clients deserve.
